Winter Tips From Seattle Mortgage Brokers
It’s February – Winter In Full Swing
Winter is only halfway done, which means it is still cold, rainy, snowy or just a bit chilly outside – this weather makes for a great time to relax and watch some TV. Streaming services like Hulu and Netflix have made it easy for us to catch up on our favorite shows because we are able to access them at our own convenience. Even cable services like HBO and Showtime have gotten in on the popularity of streaming and now offer ‘go’ services where you can login to your account from any location and watch your favorite shows/movies.
With the advent of these streaming services, we can binge watch a number of episodes, movies, documentaries – you name it – and we can do it back-to-back! This winter, take some time to enjoy the luxury of binge watching! Below are a couple of tips that might be useful:
– Comfy Cozy: since binge watching entails being seated for hours while watching TV, you’ll want to make sure that you create a comfy/cozy environment. Having the right accessories can maximize your binge watching experience.
a) Grab your favorite winter blanket to snuggle up with so that you do not have to use a heavy and/or bulky comforter.
b) In addition, grab some pillows from your bed just in case you decide you’d like to lie down.
c) Put on some loungewear – something that isn’t too restrictive (unless you like restrictive clothing while sitting down for hours, watching TV, of course) so that you can be comfortable. Maybe your favorite pair of sweatpants and tank top could be a good choice. Oh, and you might want to have some winter socks handy, just in case your feet get cold easily.
– Make a Plan: At the beginning of this section, four streaming service providers were listed; this is just the ‘tip of the iceberg’. There are many other providers out there, which means there are plenty of options to choose from. Since there are so many options, you may want to make a list of what you’d like to watch and rank it in order of preference. Making a plan can help you avoid wasting time trying to remember what you wanted to watch. Maybe something that takes place in the tropics, to help get your mind off of winter for the days long warm days of summer.
– Be in Good Company: If you want, you can invite some friends (or a significant other) over to binge watch with you. Maybe the friends you take your summer camping trips with. Be selective on who you invite. You will likely want to invite people that have similar TV preferences so you can agree on what to watch and will help you chase away your winter blues. Though having company over is an option, sometimes, the most enjoyable binge watching experiences can be done solo!
– Snack On: Last, but not least, you will want to make sure you have some of your favorite snacks on hand to munch on so that you do not have to interrupt your TV watching session to grab food. Warm and savory is perfect for a mid-winter treat.Â
